Children

NOURISH

Our plan is to give an after-school snack, Monday through Friday, to the children involved in our homework club. Saturdays we will provide a full meal for lunch.

TEACH

We want to help lead them in their spiritual life as most parents don’t take on this role. We a want to create an environment where children can grow in their knowledge about God and begin to walk with Him. We will teach the children that God can transform their lives and that tomorrow they can have a better life, have a good heart and mind.

Children in our community are especially vulnerable as many parents don’t teach, guide, feed or care for them. Man y children are malnourished, which leads them to constantly having to ask for money on the street. Children grow up without a good education or good manners as they are surrounded by bad influences from such a young age.

We want to be able to provide a safe space where they can have access to resources they need to do well in school. To eliminate that feeling that they are less than because their family can’t afford it or they don’t have supportive parents. Also, when children haven’t done their homework it sometimes makes them not want to go to school so they don’t have to deal with their teacher. For all of these different reasons we have set up a homework club with the hope that these children will start to enjoy going to school and regaining their confidence.

LOVE

Love is an important part of every child’s life, it is what helps them to develop their passions and blossoms them into their God-given purpose.

Through playing and games we want to teach children to love their neighbor without making exceptions, just as God loves them. It is important for them to love others without seeing their physical condition, their color, or their poverty. We want children to have fun, to feel safe, and to feel loved. We want the Children of Peace Foundation to be a place that fosters God’s love and in all that we do to serve these children that they see and feel God’s love. The more ways they are aware of how God loves them, the more ways they can show God’s love to others.
